Foreword:

Today’s children are tomorrow’s citizens.  It is necessary to develop in children a sense of responsibility as well as awareness of the challenges around and ahead so that they will be well-equipped to deal with them and will be successful in the career they choose.  Ever since, the organizer of this summer school, was a research scholar at IIT M, he was introduced to the noble endeavor of taking the scientific breakthroughs to school going children through Children’s club lectures by his teacher Professor B Viswanathan. This endeavor is to continue the tradition of motivating the children by enriching their knowledge in the recent advances in Science and Technology so that they will be aware of the global problems and equipped with possible solutions.   The theme for this years (2022) summer school is “Green Chemistry” and the lectures are focused mainly on clean energy, and green materials, as energy shortage and environmental pollution and the accompanied climate change are the main problems facing humanity in the 21st century.  The participation to the summer school is free.  All the school and college (XI and XII) going students are encouraged to participate in the 10 day summer school to enrich their knowledge on “Green Chemistry”. The lecture notes of all the 10 lectures will be made available for free to the participants in the form of a e-book for revision and practice. Interested students can register for the online lecture series by sending email to Dr Indra Neel Pulidindi at indraneelp@jesusconsultancy.com.
